MIMIS CAFE OPEN IN BURLINGTON, N.C.

Seasonal specials and comfort food classics will be on the menu

TUSTIN, Calif. – Just in time for the holidays, Mimis Cafe opened at 3111 Walthan Boulevard in Burlington, N.C., the evening of Thursday, Dec. 13. The new restaurant will serve comfort food classics such as fresh-baked muffins, French Market Onion Soup, Chicken Pot Pie and Pasta Jambalaya daily from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. General Manager Briana Sullivan welcomes the community to experience a New Orleans-inspired atmosphere and an eclectic menu with more than 100 dishes served in generous portions and at reasonable prices. This is the third Mimis Cafe in the state and 123rd nationwide.

Through Feb. 20, wintertime seasonal items will be available on the menu. Spiced up dishes that highlight Southwestern flavors will include Chicken Chorizo & Egg Enchiladas for breakfast, zesty Black Bean & Chicken Chorizo Dip for an appetizer and Carne Asada Entrée Salad for lunch or dinner. Other special items available include Banana Chocolate Chip Pancake Breakfast, Banana Chocolate Chip muffins and more.

Mimis Cafe will have a full bar with favorites such as The ABSOLUT Magnificent Mary, Fresh Squeezed Margaritas and Mimitinis. With seating for up 200 guests within multiple rooms, each with a different feel, the Mimis Cafe interior showcases New Orleans café décor with vibrant colors and jazzy art. The restaurant’s unique exterior architecture resembles that of a colorful European cottage.

“Mimis Cafe first came to North Carolina in 2006 and we’re pleased to make Burlington the home of the third Mimis Cafe in the state,” said Arthur Forgette, local Mimi’s Cafe Market Partner. “To show our support for the community, we’ve supplied nearly 1,000 Certificates of Achievement, which can be redeemed for a complimentary kid’s meal, to nearby Highland Elementary School and Marvin B. Smith Elementary School.”
