MIMIS CAFE DEBUTS FIVE SEAFOOD DISHES TO MEET GUEST DEMAND

TUSTIN, Calif. – According to a recent survey of 15,000 Mimis Cafe guests, more than half are seeking additional seafood dishes on the menu. To cater to these guests, Adam Baird, nationally acclaimed head chef of Mimis Cafe, created a new line-up of five delectable seafood items. The light fare showcases fine seafood such as Pan Seared Scallops, Center-Cut Swordfish and Mahi-Mahi and will be available from February 15 through May 14 at 108 restaurants nationwide.

“Many of our visitors are looking for new, exciting flavors and so it’s not surprising that they want more seafood selections year-round,” said Baird. “These dishes are made with a wide variety of fish and most are prepared with complementary sauces to deliver irresistible flavors. For example, the swordfish and Mahi-Mahi come with a choice of Citrus Artichoke Cream or Lemon Caper Butter.”

Following are descriptions of the seafood items available on the “Seasonal Features” menu, which range from $9.99 to $14.99:

* Seafood Appetizer Combo: A tempting combo of golden-fried seafood delicacies including crab hush puppies, calamari and coconut shrimp. Complemented with a trio of sauces: citrus remoulade, sweet & sour and tartar.
* Pan Seared Scallops (Small Bite): Pan-seared sea scallops served with garlic sautéed mushrooms, sun dried tomatoes and spinach atop fettuccine in a tomato cream sauce.
* Seafood Sampler: A seafood bounty including crispy cod fillets, four coconut shrimp and lump & blue crab cake. Served with french fries and creamy coleslaw.
* Center-Cut Swordfish or Mahi Mahi: Available pan griddled or blackened with cajun spices. Served with seasonal vegetables, choice of potato and one of our two pan sauces: Citrus Artichoke Cream and Lemon Caper Butter.

In addition to Mimis Cafe “Seasonal Features”, the restaurant regularly offers more than 10 other top-selling seafood items at reasonable prices. For breakfast, seafood lovers enjoy Crab Cake Benedict and Crab & Avocado Omelette, while Citrus Salmon and the Albacore & Avocado sandwich are popular lunch choices. Favorite dinner items include the new Golden Fried Calamari “Fritti” Style appetizer followed by the Cajun Blackened Salmon.
