NEARLY 1,000 RALEIGH STUDENTS RECEIVE A FREE MEAL TO CELEBRATE MIMIS CAFE OPENING

TUSTIN, Calif. – Mimis Cafe, a collection of upscale family dining restaurants, has selected the old Plantation Inn site in Raleigh, N.C. as the home of their 110th location. This will be the second Mimis Cafe in the state with an existing restaurant in Greensboro, N.C. The Raleigh location will open its doors on Thursday, March 22 at 6320 Plantation Center Drive in The Plantation Center. General Manager Don Batty welcomes guests to enjoy from more than 100 homemade breakfast, lunch and dinner items daily between 7:00 a.m. and 11:00 p.m.

For nearly 30 years, more than 100 Mimis Cafe restaurants have opened – and not a single one has ever closed. Mimis Cafe teammates look forward to continuing this tradition of success in Raleigh and want to be strong supporters of the community. Therefore, to celebrate the grand opening, all children from Wake Christian Academy and Smith Elementary School will receive a certificate for a free kid’s meal. Many teachers from these local schools will also receive a complimentary bountiful dessert and specialty coffee as a way to show Mimis Cafe’s appreciation for their hard work.

“We enjoy working with local schools to reward children and teachers who have demonstrated excellence both inside and outside the classroom,” said Arthur Forgette, local Mimis Cafe Market Partner. “Our restaurant plans to partner with more Raleigh schools in the near future to show our continued support for the community.”

To help families have the best dining experience possible, the Raleigh restaurant will feature a new kid’s menu which the chain launched earlier this month. The menu, dubbed the “Gazette,” is available for guests 12 and under and features kid-friendly meals, for breakfast, lunch and dinner, healthy-choice options and fun activities. Each meal includes an entrée, side dish, beverage and dessert from $3.99 to $4.59.

Now through May 2, guests can enjoy Mimis Cafe’s line-up of seasonal dishes with two breakfast specials, six lunch and dinner features and a seasonal muffin. The Shrimp, Artichoke & Feta Omelette and Banana Chocolate Chip Pancake Breakfast are irresistible morning meals. Delectable lunch and dinner dishes include a Seafood Appetizer Combo, Pan Seared Scallops, Seafood Sampler, Tender Pork Shank, Center Cut Swordfish and Mahi-Mahi. The seasonal muffin selection is Banana Chocolate Chip.

The restaurant offers seating for more than 200 guests within multiple rooms, each with a different feel. The interior design showcases New Orleans café inspiration with vibrant colors and jazzy art while the unique exterior architecture resembles a colorful French cottage.
