MIMIS CAFE OPENS AT MALL OF GEORGIA IN BUFORD

New restaurant offers shoppers comfort food classics, seasonal features and more

TUSTIN, Calif. – Mimis Cafe, a collection of upscale family dining restaurants, has selected the Mall of Georgia in Buford, Ga., for the home of their 114th location. The company also plans to open their 115th location in Orland Park, Ill., before the end of the month. The Buford restaurant will be the second Mimis Cafe in Georgia with an existing restaurant in Atlanta. On Wednesday, April 25, at 4 p.m. the new restaurant will open its doors at 1880 Mall of Georgia Boulevard across from Macy’s on the South side of the mall. General Manager John Ege welcomes guests to choose from more than 100 homemade breakfast, lunch and dinner items daily between 7 a.m. and 11 p.m.

Mimis Cafe is known and loved for comfort food classics such as Chicken Pot Pie, Slow Roasted Turkey Breast and Mimis Pot Roast, served in generous portions at reasonable prices. The restaurant also offers an abundance of other menu options including seasonal dishes created to capture harvests at their peak, USDA choice steaks, fish market selections and bountiful desserts. This wide variety of items was designed by Executive Chef Adam Baird, to suit guests’ varied tastes while highlighting the freshest ingredients available.

Since the first Mimis Cafe opened in Anaheim, Calif., nearly 30 years ago, the company has been dedicated to supporting the communities it serves by implementing a number of philanthropic initiatives across the nation. To continue this tradition of community involvement in Buford, Mimis Cafe is providing achievement certificates, which can be redeemed for a free kid’s meal, to all 1,400 students at Harmony Elementary School. Many teachers from the school will also receive a complimentary bountiful dessert and specialty coffee as a token of the restaurant’s appreciation for their dedication to local children.

To help families have the best dining experience possible, the Buford restaurant will feature a new kid’s menu which the chain launched in late February. The menu, dubbed the “Gazette,” is available for guests 12 and under and features kid-friendly meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner, healthy-choice options and fun activities. Each meal includes an entrée, side dish, beverage and dessert from $3.99 to $4.59.

The new addition to the Mall of Georgia offers seating for more than 200 guests within multiple rooms, each with a different feel. The interior design showcases New Orleans café inspiration with vibrant colors and jazzy art while the unique exterior architecture resembles a colorful French cottage.
