MIMIS CAFE INFUSES MENU WITH WINE COUNTRY CUISINE FOR FALL

September 20 marks the arrival of new seasonal breakfast, lunch and dinner offerings

TUSTIN, Calif. – To capture the essence of fall, Mimis Cafe will debut ten new dishes to allow guests to indulge in the flavors of Wine Country. From Sept. 20 through Dec. 6, the seasonal features section of the menu will include options such as Pumpkin Pancakes, a hearty feast for breakfast lovers, Wine Country Beef Short Ribs with the robust flavors of red wine and garlic, and a farmer’s market-inspired Autumn Peach Upside Down Cake for dessert. These items are created to showcase the bountiful variety of produce, meat, seafood and wine that is available during the harvest season.

“While driving through Napa last year, I was able to taste the colorful and sophisticated flavors of Wine Country, and was motivated to bring my favorite local dishes to Mimis guests," said Adam Baird, nationally acclaimed Executive Chef for Mimis Cafe. “Great food and wine have the ability to bring people together; I hope these dishes create many fond memories of delicious, comforting meals.”

Ranging from $4.99 to $14.99, the following are descriptions of Mimis Cafe Wine Country-inspired menu additions:

Breakfast

1. Pumpkin Pancake Breakfast: A stack of four delicious pumpkin pancakes topped with caramel cinnamon apples. Served with two eggs and a choice of bacon or sausage. Also available a la carte.
2. The “Best” Breakfast Ciabatta: A hearty sandwich of bacon, ham, eggs, spinach, tomato and remoulade on toasted ciabatta. Served with breakfast potatoes and fresh squeezed juice.
3. Seasonal Muffin: Pumpkin Spice.

Lunch/Dinner

4. Butter Broiled Lobster Mac & Cheese: Lemon garlic slipper tail lobster atop asiago & cheddar macaroni with citrus broiled asparagus.
5. Pan Seared Scallops & Butternut Squash Ravioli: Pan seared jumbo scallops served atop a bed of roasted butternut squash ravioli tossed with tomatoes, garlic mushrooms and roasted tomato cream sauce.
6. Wine Country Beef Short Ribs: Simmered in red wine & garlic ‘til falling off the bone. Served with pan vegetables and creamy mashed potatoes.
7. Chicken Piccata with Asparagus: Broiled chicken breast smothered with garlic mushrooms and lemon caper sauce. Served with mashed potatoes and citrus broiled asparagus.
8. Macadamia Crusted Mahi Mahi: Available crusted with macadamia nuts or simply grilled. Served with fresh vegetables, choice of baby bakers or mashed potatoes and seasonal pan sauce – lemon caper butter.
9. Center Cut Swordfish: Pan griddled or blackened with cajun spices. Served with fresh vegetables, choice of baby bakers or mashed potatoes and artichoke & fresh avocado salsa.

Dessert

10. Autumn Peach Upside Down Cake: Caramelized autumn peaches atop delicious white cake. Served a la mode and drizzled with caramel sauce.
