Mimi’s Cafe Sends Montgomery Fan To Place Of Inspiration…France!

IRVINE, Calif. (Sept. 14, 2011) France is a place of inspiration for Mimi’s Cafe and 29-year-old Leigh Farrior, a graphic designer from Montgomery, Ala. Leigh and her husband, Jason, will enjoy an all-expense paid five-day, four-night vacation to Provence, France, courtesy of Mimi’s Cafe—a neighborhood bistro inspired by France. The trip to Provence is the grand prize in Mimi’s® second Chance for France sweepstakes. The Facebook promotion attracted thousands of registrants from July 5 – Aug 15. More than 100 prizes were awarded in all, including a one-year supply of Mimi’s famous muffins for five lucky winners and $25 Mimi’s gift cards.

“I couldn’t believe it was real because I’ve never won anything like this before,” Leigh said. “I entered the sweepstakes because I saw a post on my friend’s Facebook wall that she had participated in Mimi’s Chance for France. And I’m so glad I did! We are trying to get her to come with us on the trip since she had a hand in us winning.”

As a graphic designer, Leigh often seeks out different people and places to stimulate her creativity. She believes France will be a place that will act as a muse and inspire her passion. Leigh and her husband are looking forward to experiencing all Provence has to offer—the food, the wine, the atmosphere— and she is grateful to Mimi’s for giving them the trip of a lifetime. The couple plans on taking their trip in May 2012.

Maybe it was Leigh’s love for southern France or her adoration of French food that drew her to Mimi’s Cafe, but ever since the restaurant opened its doors in Montgomery in 2008, Leigh has been a fan. She and her family love it so much they often celebrate birthdays and special moments there. Her favorite item at Mimi’s is—what else—the famous muffins. And she isn’t picky: any flavor of muffin will do!

“We were so thrilled when Mimi’s opened in Montgomery,” Leigh said. “In fact, all this talk about Mimi’s and France is making me crave it right now. I can’t wait to go to the restaurant.” She also mentioned that eating at Mimi’s can help prepare their taste buds for the trip to Provence.

Everyone has a chance to experience Provence by sampling from Mimi’s Tour de Provence menu, featuring the Cinnamon Brioche French Toast, Le Grand Bleu Burger, Shrimp Marseille Toast starter, Chicken Provence, Glazed Provencal Shrimp & Asparagus Ravioli, and more!
