Mimis Cafe strongly believes that there is no better way to encourage the positive efforts of kids today than by rewarding their many achievements. We are proud to begin our fourteenth year of the Student Recognition Program.  This program is designed to honor those students striving for and achieving excellence both inside and outside the classroom.  Each year, Mimis Cafe distributes approximately 1,500,000 Certificates of Achievement to kids in grades Kindergarten through sixthChildren displaying scholastic achievement, athletic ability, a positive attitude and such accomplishments will be rewarded with a certificate which can be redeemed at any Mimis Cafe for a complimentary child's meal.  At the end of the meal, our Manager will reward the child with a star achievement pin.

As an extension of the Student Recognition Program, Mimis Cafe also honors teachers, parent volunteers and office administrators each year with 500,000 Certificates of Appreciation for their dedication and commitment to our youth. These letters are valid for a free specialty coffee and dessert at Mimis Cafe and are our way of saluting those individuals who are making a positive difference in our children's lives.

Mimis Cafe also offers many fundraising opportunities for your school:

Scrip

One way of raising funds for your school is through participation in our Scrip Program. We are offering this exceptional opportunity to our partners in education. Scrip is a gift card redeemable at any Mimis Cafe. Scrip can be purchased at a ten percent discount only through Mimis Cafe. For example, if you request $500 in scrip gift cards, you will pay only $450. A $200 minimum purchase is required. Scrip is available in $10 increments. The school or organization can then sell the scrip at face value to raise money. The ten percent discount becomes the school's profit.

The "Write Stuff" Essay Contest

Mimis Cafe has worked hard to develop programs for children that help to advance their scholastic aptitude. Since 1993, Mimis Cafe has sponsored a Thanksgiving-themed essay contest called "The Write Stuff."  This year, elementary school-aged children in Kansas, Oklahoma and Utah will compete for monetary scholarships by being given an opportunity to express themselves writing an essay titled "What I Have To Be Thankful For."
